Mark Davidson is a certified rescue scuba diver and enthusiastic underwater filmmaker with a passion for ocean conservation. This passion led him to develop Akuario in 2019 after a decade long career as Senior Scientist at a multi-national environmental consultancy where he managed portfolios in excess of $10M. He holds a PhD from Princeton University.

David joined Akuario in 2019 after having been Director of Strategic Development and a Fellow at the World Policy Institute where he also served as the Director of the Program for African Thought (PATH) and the Editorial Director of the African Angle blog. In addition to his work with Akuario, David is the Founder of an educational media and events company.
